Acquisition of the development office

Servit has gone through some structural changes in the past months. During the past 4 years we were able to build up our development office in Jordan with great dedication and turn it into a "Center of Excellency for Open Source Development" with a total of 15 employees. We're happy to announce that Aspire Infotech in Jordan is acquiring our development office and is going to manage it in the future.

Servit goes Dubai - Gitex 2011

Servit is growing, so our market focus doesn't remain anymore on Switzerland and Europe only. With our development center in Amman we are already present as an employer in the middle east. So it comes naturally to expand and enter the "new markets" as a high quality service provider.  With it's first contract in the middle east Servit will help launch an exiting new online project in the region. Stay tuned!

New Drupal module published

Servit developed a new Drupal module  "Menu Add Content" and published it under GPL license for free use.

We are happy to contribute back to the community and hope that it will help others building better websites.

The module makes it possible that editors can create new content directly from the menu of the website. A new menu item will be created for the new content at the place where the editor clicked on "add content" in the menu.

New version of Special Menu Items

An improved version of our Drupal module "Special Menu Items" has been contributed to Drupal.

This module deals with a shortcoming of Drupal which doesn't allow a site administrator to have menu items which don't link anywhere. With this module you can now have menu items for grouping purposes only and not linking anywhere.

Obama trusts in Drupal

The Obama administration is using Drupal for the government's "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" website. It demonstrates what is possible with Drupal: The user finds 3-dimensional graphs, videos and interactive features like scrolling through milestones in a timeline.
